Bevel Gears – Nylon Food Application (S-Torque) – Ratio 1:1

Polyamide-based technopolymer (PA6) reinforced with glass fibre, suitable for food contact, colour: blue (EU and FDA certified: FDA 21 CFR 177, 21 CFR 178 / EC Reg. 1935/2004, EU Reg. 10/2011). With a tensile strength of 176 MPa, an elastic modulus of 8,500 MPa and a melting temperature of 220 °C, this material delivers high structural performance even under demanding operating conditions. Material compliance for food contact does not release the machine manufacturer from the obligation to independently certify the component within its specific application.

Straight-tooth bevel gears with perpendicular axes (90°), side hub and 20° pressure angle. The technopolymer and the colour masterbatch are certified for direct food contact in compliance with European and FDA regulations. The blue colour ensures immediate identification on the production line. Meshing with steel bevel gears is fully supported, with or without lubrication, ensuring stable and quiet transmission under both operating conditions. The tooth profile complies with ISO 23509.

Injection moulding in food-grade glass-fibre-reinforced PA6 technopolymer, EU/FDA compliant. The process ensures high dimensional repeatability and precise bevel geometries, with competitive costs compared with machining from solid. The pairs are matched in production. The blue colour identifies the component on the food line. Material and colouring food-grade certified. Boring and machining can be carried out on request.
