Spur Gears – Acetal resin (POM-C)(S-Speed) – Module 1

Acetal resin (POM-C), colour: white. Material with very high dimensional precision and excellent sliding properties. With a tensile strength of 65 MPa, an elastic modulus of 2,750 MPa and a melting temperature of 165 °C, this material offers an excellent balance of stiffness, smooth running and dimensional stability.

High dimensional stability and low hygroscopicity ensure consistent precision even in humid environments. Excellent sliding and wear-resistance properties allow operation at high RPM. Chemically resistant material, physiologically inert and certified for food contact. Suitable for meshing with steel counterparts under any lubrication condition, they ensure stable, quiet and low-maintenance transmission. The tooth profile complies with ISO 21771-1.

Injection moulding in POM-C acetal resin. The process ensures high dimensional repeatability and a uniform surface finish, with competitive costs compared with machining from solid. Thanks to the low hygroscopicity of POM, tolerances remain stable even in humid environments. Bore reamed to H10 tolerance directly during production: the component is ready to use with no additional machining. Further machining can be carried out on request.
