Polyamide-based technopolymer (PA6) reinforced with glass fibre, colour: grey. High mechanical stiffness, good impact resistance and continuous service temperatures up to 100 °C. With a tensile strength of 176 MPa, an elastic modulus of 8,500 MPa and a melting temperature of 220 °C, this material delivers high structural performance even under demanding operating conditions.

The maximum transmissible torque shown in the table was determined using a proprietary Stagnoli methodology, combining theoretical calculations with experimental data from fatigue testing on the gears. For low-speed applications (< 100 RPM), static loads or low duty factors, the permissible torque can increase by up to 50% over the tabulated values. The tooth profile complies with ISO 21771-1. Technopolymer spur gears can mesh with a steel counterpart, with or without lubrication, maintaining reliable performance while reducing wear and transmission noise.

Injection moulding in glass-fibre-reinforced PA6 technopolymer. The process ensures high dimensional repeatability, precise geometries and a uniform surface finish, with competitive unit costs compared with machining from solid bar stock. The material retains full machinability: boring, turning and finishing can be carried out on request, exactly as on a component machined from cast or extruded bar, making it ideal for industrial applications and precision couplings.
