Polyamide-based technopolymer (PA6) reinforced with glass fibre, suitable for direct food contact (compliant with EU and FDA regulations: FDA 21 CFR 177, 21 CFR 178 / EC Reg. 1935/2004, EU Reg. 10/2011), colour: blue. Food-grade certified material and colour masterbatch. With a tensile strength of 176 MPa, an elastic modulus of 8,500 MPa and a melting temperature of 220 °C, this material delivers high structural performance even under demanding operating conditions. Material compliance for food contact does not release the machine manufacturer from the obligation to independently certify the component within its specific application.

The maximum transmissible torque is determined using the proprietary Stagnoli methodology (theoretical calculations + fatigue testing on the gears). For speeds < 100 RPM, static loads or low duty factors, the permissible torque can increase by up to 50% over the tabulated values. The blue colour allows immediate identification of the component on food production lines. Meshing with steel gears is fully supported, with or without lubrication, ensuring quiet transmission and long service life under both operating conditions. The tooth profile complies with ISO 21771-1.

Injection moulding in food-grade glass-fibre-reinforced PA6 technopolymer, EU/FDA compliant. The process ensures high dimensional repeatability, precise geometries and a uniform surface finish, with competitive costs compared with machining from solid. The component, coloured blue for immediate identification on the line, retains full machinability: boring, turning and finishing can be carried out on request, as on a component machined from bar.
