Helical Rack with Steel Core and Helical Gears – Nylon

Toothed body: polyamide-based technopolymer (PA6) reinforced with glass fibre, colour: grey. With a tensile strength of 176 MPa, an elastic modulus of 8,500 MPa and a melting temperature of 220 °C, this material delivers high structural performance even under demanding operating conditions. Structural core: co-moulded Fe360 steel. Helical teeth for progressive, quiet and high-efficiency transmission.

Helical rack-and-pinion system, module 2, 20° normal pressure angle (DIN 782). The helical teeth increase the contact area compared with straight teeth, reducing noise and vibration at the same load. Fe360 steel core for maximum bending stiffness. They can be butted together for unlimited lengths. Ideal for precision linear motion systems, CNC gantries and robotics.

Insert injection moulding in glass-fibre-reinforced PA6 technopolymer with an Fe360 structural steel core. The steel core is placed in the mould before injection and embedded directly by the polymer during the process, becoming an integral part of the finished component. The result is a single piece, PA6-GF helical teeth with internal metal reinforcement, with high bending stiffness and progressive transmission, with consistent dimensional repeatability from segment to segment.
